Fun Winter Festivals In And Around Montreal Happening Now!



In fact, the annual Montreal winter festival, La FETE DES NEIGES is already on. Go with friends or take the kids on any of its four weekends for tubing, dog-sled rides, zip-lining, a super ice slide, and more! For more info, click the link FETE DES NEIGES.


For one day only, head over to the West Island in Dollard des Ormeaux on Saturday, February 1 from 5 PM – 9 PM at Centennial Park.

This special event is not to be missed, as it is loaded with fun activities like:

  • Horse-drawn carriage ride
  • Taffy on snow ($)
  • Food truck – Shake Shop ($)
  • Heated igloo
  • Illuminated skating rink with DJ
  • Bonfire
  • Fire breather show (5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.)
  • Ice sculpting demonstration (5:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.)
  • Rally (departure from the igloo)
  • Free ice skate rental (size 6 and up) in collaboration with Initiative Go DDO
  • Glow in the dark mini-putt in collaboration with Elm Park Recreation Association

From February 1 to February 22, enjoy the winter fun at the Dorval Winter Festival. Enjoy all sorts of activities, including speed skating demos and free lessons, snow sculptures, an original artistic team of contemporary ice dancers, preschool skate and slike, the Jet’s Sugar Shack Madness, sports day, and so much more. Kirkland Winter Festival

The fun starts February 6 to 9, 2020 at Meades Park (16950 Hymus Blvd.)
Come celebrate the joys of winter at the Kirkland Winter Carnival! From February 6 to 9, a winter storm of activities await you and your family at Meades Park and at the Sports Complex: Outdoor challenge, sleigh rides, mascot, family Bingo, Carnival evening and much more. There’s fun for every age.

Go further west, off island to the Saint-Lazare Snow Fest on February 7, 8, and 9 for snowshoeing under the stars.

Not feeling so adventurous, then head over to Parc nature les Forestiers-de-Saint-Lazare for a giant outdoor screening of the Habs against the Leafs on February 8 at 7 PM.

And enjoy skating, tubing, fireworks and a bonfire.

On Sunday, from 11 AM to 4 PM, enjoy hot chocolate, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing as well as:

  • skating
  • horse cart rides
  • ATV rides
  • tube sliding
  • snow soccer (with Saint-Lazare Hudson Soccer Club)
  • ice sculpture
  • iceman decoration workshop

Fête des neiges au Parc Aumais on February 2, 2020. Enjoy the outdoor winter fun with your family skating, inflatable rides, sledding, snow sculptures and much more.

Warm up with some free hot chocolate and delicious taffy on the snow. Hungry? Pass by the BBQ ($) to benefit the Rugby Club. Most of the carnival activities are free.

Whatever your choice, get out and enjoy the winter. Before you know it, it will be over, but if you hibernate, it only makes it longer. You never know how much you’ll love the outdoors unless you try it.
