These last four years have been exhausting when we consider the current American president. Headlines roll out every few hours, breaking stories of deceit, lies, ties to criminals, and so much more. But, will he sail through these difficult times as he has in the past? Only time will tell.
Not only are there huge problems with Donald Trump’s tweets, but the president of the United States has also surrounded himself with many questionable people.
And these stories below mostly happened in the last week or so!
Today, the woman who has stood by Trump’s side since before the elections decided to quit the White House. Kellyanne Conway stepped down from her position citing personal problems. In fact, much of her resignation (if not all) has to do with Claudia Conway, her daughter. She tweeted that her mother’s job ruined her life. Claudia goes on to say that her mother is doing it for money and fame.
The 15-year-old is apparently pushing for emancipation.
The President’s sister, Maryanne Trump Barry, was caught bitterly criticizing her brother in audio excerpts. She, who has known him all his life, called him “cruel.” She said that he paid someone to take his college entry exams and that he’s ill-prepared.
Just days ago, Steve Bannon, Trump’s former White House Chief Strategist, was arrested and charged with fraud in a border wall fundraising campaign.
Bannon and three others allegedly defrauded donors of hundreds of thousands of dollars to build the border wall that Mexico was supposed to pay for.
Roger Stone was convicted of seven counts, one of which was witness tampering was sentenced to 40 months in prison. He would have gone to prison if it wasn’t for his ‘friend’ Donald Trump, who commuted his sentence.
President Trump was ordered to pay $2 million in damages to charities and nonprofit groups for misusing money raised by his own foundation. Trump admitted to using funds raised to pay off his own business debts, promote his presidential bid, and buy a portrait of himself for his hotel.
And now, the Trump Organization and Trump’s assets are being investigated by the New York Attorney General’s Office for misleading lenders by inflating his assets’ value.
