Santa Gets a Nod from Trudeau Airport

Over the years, Montreal’s Trudeau airport has been known for celebrating different local and national events and holidays. It’s their way to try to bring a smile to the faces of its thousands of passengers. Maybe even to make Montrealers even prouder than they already are, if that’s possible.

The ‘O’ in the huge Montreal sign on top of the main terminal has in the past been turned into a heart to celebrate Valentine’s Day, and a pumpkin to recognize Halloween.

And on the 39th anniversary of the popular Montreal Jazz Festival the O was turned into a musical note.

As it’s Christmas, and Santa will soon be on his way, what could be more natural than to put a red Santa style hat on top of the letter O?

For many people arriving at the airport, it’s a sure sign that the Christmas season really has begun, and airport officials hope that the festive touch helps to make the journey more enjoyable for everyone.

And, believe it or not, Trudeau Airport has been named one of the top 10 airports in North America, and is also one of the top 65 in the world.
