Quebec Bars Will Have to Close Earlier & Reduce Capacity Due to COVID-19

After infections that were linked to two house parties and a bar in Brossard, new rules will be in place for bars across the province as early as next weekend.

Bars will likely have to close at midnight instead of 3 AM, and they may be required to operate at a reduced capacity — about 50%.

There may also be other regulations, like a mandatory registry that would have to be signed by anyone entering a bar. These measures could simplify tracing any outbreaks.
