Don’t let the summer weather mislead you because it’s still the right time to prepare for Halloween. Upper Canada Village wants to help you get in the spirit by holding its annual Pumpkinferno Pumpkin Lantern Festival. It’s set to start at the end of the month!
Pumpkinferno displays over 7,000 lit, handmade pumpkins on a 1-kilometer walking path with a 19th-century feel. You’ll see individual pumpkins and others that have been joined together in the name of art.Pumpkininferno is only about a 40-minute drive from Montreal island. The award-winning festival includes a witch exhibition, historic village, fur trading museum, and a pumpkin planetarium and park. Don’t worry, there will be plenty of pumpkin pie, as well!
The festival begins on September 28 and will run for select nights until October 29. So, plan your trip to Pumpkinferno now. Welcome the Halloween season in style.
Tickets for the festival run from $12 to $16. All children 5 years and younger enter for free. There’s also a back to school discount on Thursdays for $8.
