Parents Demand Online Schooling In A Letter To Quebec Education Minister

Parents are facing a serious dilemma with regards to sending their kids back to school in a few weeks. And they’re not going down without a fight.

“We’re being asked to choose between the right to protect our children and ourselves from harm, and the right to pursue a public education. That’s not acceptable.”

Julius Grey, a constitutional lawyer, is challenging the order issued by the government of Quebec that kids must return to school this fall without the option for distance learning.

The letter argues that forcing children to go to school or withdraw from the formal public educational system and then have to choose home-schooling is against the charters of rights and freedoms of both Quebec and Canada.
