Soldiers gave their lives to ensure we have our freedom, to live, and to celebrate Christmas and other holidays.

Since 1991, Dutch children place candles on the graves of every Canadian solider on Christmas Eve for liberating their town (Holten) during World War II.

What a beautiful gesture that shows gratitude from one generation to the next. Really touching!
