It will never be the same for anyone who walked down Ste-Catherine Street and stopped at the corner of de la Montagne to be dazzled by the stunning Ogilvy’s Christmas window display.
For many families, it was a tradition to get downtown to see the beautiful Christmas window display that Ogilvy’s gifted to everyone in Montreal for 70 years.
Sadly, that will not happen anymore, as we reported last year. But, at least the tradition continues on Sherbrooke St at the McCord Museum.
Ogilvy’s Department store donated the display to the Montreal museum last year. Check out the video of the opening:
The McCord Museum took over and displays the holiday scenes that have been split up — “The Mill in the Forest” scene can be seen from the street any time, day or night at the corner of Sherbrooke and Victoria St.
The second display, “The Enchanted Village” is inside the museum, on the second floor. You can visit this display at a charge between $14 and $19 (depending on age) but kids under 12 get in for FREE!
When: Happening now until January 5, 2020
Where: McCord Museum
