Even the weather is cooperating for the 196th Montreal St Patrick’s Day Parade 2019 so maybe the snow will be gone and all will be green.
Finally, a parade we can enjoy without freezing.
According to the Weather Network, Sunday’s forecast is mostly sunny with a high of -2 degrees C. Not bad at all.
The route returns to St Catherine Street but it will be shortened because of the construction happening on the city’s main downtown street.
The Montreal St Paddy’s Day Parade 2019 starts at noon sharp, on March 17th! It’s rare for the parade to fall on the same day as this event, so it’s even more exciting than usual.
Line up along St Catherine’s Street to take part in all the fun. The parade starts at the corner of Fort Street, at the old Forum of Montreal and ends on the corner of Metcalfe.
With all the construction happening around town, on highways and major arteries of Montreal, and the popular parade, your best bet is to leave the car behind and take public transportation downtown.
For those of you who choose to go the quieter route, consider the Hudson St Patrick’s Day Parade, west of Montreal. Though much smaller than the downtown celebration, there’s still green beer and happy people joining in the fun.
