Montreal Metros Won’t Close This New Year’s Eve!

Don’t drink and drive – arrive alive! What could be better than having a New Year’s Eve with Montreal metros staying open all night!

Is there anything safer than that???!!!

It’s always good news when we hear that there is going to be free public transport or all-night-long transportation, so we’re passing it on.

Now you can hop on a metro to the next party on your list without having to worry about drinking and driving, hailing a cab, calling UBER, parking, or whatever.

Instead, just walk on over to the next metro station to get to your next destination, be it the Old Port of Montreal or downtown.

According to the STM website, it’s all done:

To facilitate your celebrations and ring in the New Year with you, the métro will run all night on December 31 (current fares apply).

It’s a great thing that the STM is doing, ensuring Montrealers will get home safely on the ultimate party night in town.

If you plan on making numerous trips on that night, purchase the Unlimited Evening Pass in advance. It only costs $5.25, saving you time and money.

And, don’t forget that over the winter holidays, kids between 6 and 11 ride for free when they’re out with an adult. Apart from the holiday season, kids under 6 never pay for public transport.
