Take a candlelit walk through the streets of Montreal in the true spirit of Christmas.
The Montreal Christmas Parade Starts at the Plateau
A favourite tradition in Montreal during the Christmas holidays is the 2017 Marche de Noël aux flambeaux.
A wonderful parade, open to all, ends with a fireworks show at Parc La Fontaine. Candles are available on site at a cost of $2, with proceeds going to worthy charities in Montreal, helping families in need.
You can also bring non-perishable food items, toy plushies and other toys, as well as children’s books in exchange for a candle.
The popular procession that attracts thousands of revelers starts at 7 PM on December 9 at the corner of Mont-Royal and Cartier.
