Strict new guidelines will be in place when the Casino de Montreal reopens after months of it being closed due to COVID-19.

Shut down on March 13, 2020, the Montreal casino will see the light of day once again starting on August 3.

But, it certainly won’t be the same. For instance, the Casino de Montreal won’t be open round the clock. Instead, it will have opening and closing hours (9 AM to 4 PM) to allow for thorough disinfection and to ensure the safety of the public and its employees.

It will also require everyone to wear a mask, which will be provided at the door for FREE!

“You must wear a mask or face covering in our establishment,” the Casino de Montreal website states.

Other strict guidelines at the Montreal Casino:

  • only 6 sections of the casino will be open
  • only 250 people at a time
  • guests must wash hands when they enter
  • protective barriers have been installed
  • chips will be disinfected daily
  • slot machines available but with physical distancing
  • no keno
  • no poker

The Montreal Casino website further states:

“These preventive measures have been put in place for the sake of everyone’s health and safety. Ensuring that our casinos stay safe is a shared responsibility, and we thank you for your cooperation.”
