The couple didn’t believe COVID-19 was real and so, they didn’t follow any of the health guidelines put in place. The wife, Erin Hitchens, a pastor, suffered from asthma and then, both of them tested positive with coronavirus.

They didn’t take it seriously because they thought it was a hoax — something made up and linked to 5G. They thought it was like the flu.

But, Erin died from heart problems related to coronavirus. She was just 46 years old.

Her husband Brian explained to BBC how the Florida couple didn’t follow any social distancing guidelines, nor did they take any other precautions. He and his wife were both hospitalized and had to start a GoFundMe campaign to pay for the mounting hospital bills.

Now, he says he wished he had listened to the warnings and hopes his wife forgives him.

“This is a real virus that affects people differently,” he said. “I can’t change the past. I can only live in today and make better choices for the future.”

After he was diagnosed with COVID-19, Brian used Facebook to warn people not to believe the lies spread online.

He told people that he should have worn a mask but he didn’t, and that’s how he got the virus and then gave it to his wife.
