For younger children who are overwhelmed by larger events, there is the Hudson Santa Claus Parade again this year. Hudson’s parade is Sunday, December 1st at 1:00 PM.
Of course, if you love the holiday season, there’s no reason why you can’t go to this one and the Montreal Santa Claus parade. Or, maybe some adults would rather avoid the large crowds, heavy traffic, and the frustrating parking situation, which makes Hudson’s a better option.
Everything You Need to Know About the Hudson Santa Claus Parade
It starts in front of the Westwood Senior Campus (69 Cote St. Charles). From there, the parade proceeds to the east, along Main Road, and then ends at the Community Centre.
Get a Good Spot
To get a good spot for viewing the floats, the best thing you can do is arrive early. Get there before the parade starts, since Main Road will be closed off at 12:30 PM. Following the parade, the Community Centre invites revelers to enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and a visit with Santa himself.
Watching floats on city streets can get chilly, so be sure to bundle up and don’t forget to bring folding chairs, water and snacks to keep everyone fed, relaxed and happy during the event.
