FREE Outdoor Just for Laughs Festival Shows Start Soon – Here’s the Lineup


Now that the Jazz Fest has wrapped up for another year, Montreal is hosting the Just for Laughs Festival which is days away from starting. And, the biggest comedy festival in the world offers FREE shows too!

Aside from the big names playing at indoor venues, like Howie Mandel (now part owner of the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival), Russell Peters, Keven Hart, and many other, you can enjoy FREE outdoor shows at the Quartier des Spectacles.

Most of the FREE outdoor comedy shows are in French, but there will also be a few in English  (see FREE English shows below).

While out, treat yourself to some delicious food available at the numerous food trucks on site, as well as some highly talented street performers.

Disco Fever Experience

This is a show not to be missed. It’s a best-of the disco years of the 70s with various artists (12) performing humourous renditions of hits from the iconic era.

Mighty Mike

Mighty Mike is one must-see bilingual comedian who is dressed in a swimsuit from the 1920s. His routine is basically based on his strengths, like tearing up 4-page phonebooks!

Language: English and French

Julien Dionne

Originally an English comedian, the New Brunswick native will show off his bilingual skills this year. But, be ready for Acadian French!

When: Monday, July 16 @ 8:30 PM

M & M: Morgan & Métivier, Half & Half

This free outdoor comedy show is truly unique. Dave Morgan is the good, optimistic guy while Marko Métivier balances all that out with his negative take on the challenges of everyday life, but all in a humourous way.

When: Saturday, July 14 @ 7 PM

Language: English and French

Greg Tudeski – Pop Machine

This man is something special. He fuses about 50 pop music songs and the artists that sing them into this one amazing show. Tudeski jumps from one generation to another – from Lady Gaga to Ginette Reno to entertain spectators of all ages.
