Spring is officially here. The long-awaited season that lures all of Montreal out of hibernation is about to be celebrated with FREE flowers for Montrealers. Keep in mind that this is on a 1st come 1st served basis. So get there early!
Thanks to the City of Montreal, some Montreal residents will be getting beautiful flowers for their gardens.
But, the FREE flowers are only for 2 Montreal boroughs: Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve and Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension. As such, you’ll have to show proof of residence to qualify for the plants and seeds.
Those in the Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough will have a choice of seven types of flowers: Violas, Zinnias, Petunias, Impatiens, Rudbeckias, Salvia Splendens, and Coleus. But that’s not all! These residents also get wood chips and compost, as well as a choice of herbs.
The Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension borough residents get to choose from: organic tomato plants, petunias, violas, and yarrow, and also corriander and basil.
All this is happening on two separate days and separate locations.
