Duvernay-Tardif Is First-Ever Quebecer Super Bowl Champion


Just days ago, we told the story of Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, who plays for the Super Bowl Champions, the Kansas City Chiefs — or should we say, Dr. Duvernay-Tardif.

That’s right. Not only is the first-ever Quebecer to win a Super Bowl Championship, he’s also the first-ever active professional football player to earn a degree as a medical doctor.

Last night, he and his Kansas City Chiefs teammates came up from behind and stole the Super Bowl from the San Francisco 49ers, who were in the lead for most of the game.

While we are so proud of our home grown talent, we should not forget the other professional NFL players from Montreal, including one Paul Duhart who played and won the NFL Championship in 1944, pre-Super Bowl.
