The Canadian Farmer’s Almanac winter forecast for the 2020 – 2021 season is here, and, depending on where you live, you might not like what it says.

Coined the “winter of great divide,” here in Montreal, we can expect average temperatures, which is great. But, along with those, we will have “periodic shots of bitter cold” right through the winter.

As for snow — we can expect lots of the white stuff, more than usual.

The heavy snowfall will start around mid-January and go until the end of March.

The Almanac is popular for its predictions, and stands by them. But, those over there also know that Mother Nature can do what she wants, when she wants.

Meanwhile over in the ROC, Western Ontario will likely be colder than usual, as will the Prairies. However, on the eastern side of the province, they’ll enjoy a milder-than-usual winter.
