What to Expect at Canada’s Wonderland Winter Festival
Firstly, there’s live entertainment, ice skating, crafts, savory delicacies, and activities for all the family will be on offer. Children can post letters to St. Nick with elves, and make cookie decorations in Santa’s kitchen!
A highlight of Canada’s Wonderland Winter Festival: a theater performance called Tinker’s Factory of Toys. A newly recruited elf manager has chosen to stop producing traditional toys, such as teddy bears and wooden trains, in favor of technological devices. This throws Elf Tinker into a panic.
In addition, children will be selected to assist Linus and Charlie Brown with finding the ideal Christmas tree. This search will start in a Christmas tree maze, with treats and surprises along the way. Adults and children will surely discover a good tree, as well as plenty of festive cheer.
Sing along with the PEANUTS group who’ll lead a song about contacting Father Christmas, their favorite holiday season cuisine, and giving loved ones the perfect present.
Skating on Snowflake Lake!
Snowflake Lake, will transform into an ice skating rink, located just in front of the fountain on International Street. They’ll even have skates for rent, in case you forget yours at home.
Dancers and singers will create the perfect atmosphere for the 3 15-metre-tall Christmas trees lighting ceremony, decorated with over 40,000 baubles each evening at 5:30 PM.
