According to the Quebec health ministry, 3 people are being tested for the coronavirus.
The ministry stated online that “no probable or confirmed case of the new 2019 coronavirus (2019-nCoV) reported in Quebec.”
It went on to say that “the risk of transmission of the disease…still remains low.”
Where did the coronavirus originate:
Apparently, experts believe the new coronavirus, a cousin to SARS, originated in the city of Wuhan, China, at a seafood market.
As of January 27, 3 people are continuing being tested and the fourth tested negative.
Also, five previous cases from last week tested negative as awell.
However, in Toronto, there was a second presumptive case of the virus, as of Monday. This patient is the spouse of the other who was the first confirmed case, and who is in self-isolation.
At the time of writing this article, over 130 people have died from the new coronavirus, although there could be more. And there are nearly 6,000 cases in China.
The virus is also spreading to countries where people haven’t even visited China, such as Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan, and Germany.
