Mount Royal’s Beaver Lake Could Become the Next Beach in Montreal

Beaver Lake Beach Montreal

There could be swimming in Beaver Lake in the future! The Montreal International Triathlon organization suggested the city double the size of Beaver Lake on Mount Royal in an effort to hold its swimming event. But, that would mean it would also open it to the public and just like that, Beaver Lake Beach Montreal would be born.

It seems that Montreal is getting more and more options with regards to swimming – something most residents are on board with.

Jean-Doré Beach shows just how successful projects like this one could be. They use a natural water filtration system that works!

This Montreal Beach Village Opens June 1st AND it’s Totally Free!

Imagine how amazing it would be to allow the public to swim in Beaver Lake, at this awesome tourist spot on Mount Royal, from Saint-Jean-Baptiste to Labor Day.

There could be some red tape though, especially with Heritage Montreal, who fight to maintain the mountain’s heritage value and protect it from real estate developers and sports promoters.
